Day Sixteen: Week Two of Spanish Immersion

We started out earlier today, but arrived at the same time. We are a few minutes farther away from the program. However, I'd have to say it's worth it, we are enjoying the pool side hammock and I love that I can cook a fresh dinner and watch Gia from my poolside window. The place isn't too much bigger, but it has all that we need in it and right outside it's a different world, a paradise of palm trees and relaxing beauty.

Gia had a classmate today! I got to work with my instructor in person. It has been going by so quickly I'm actually wanting more time at the program! We are currently just there for two hours of instruction daily and once a week a cooking session. It's going so fast, that I just want to push the pause button for a minute or two!

When we got home, we were hoping for pizza, we walked past a place that smelled like NY wood oven pizza- but we will have to see. We also heard there is a place in centro with NY pizza. It's like right now, that I am missing all the things we love about home. I am not quite sure I miss home, but I am missing... mostly Pizza!

The pizza place doesn't open until dinner time so we had to settle on sushi. NY sushi is much better, in my opinion! Gia and I have not really found good sushi but that was one of our missions while here. Sushi and Swimming holes! I had no idea what I was actually ordering on the app, so we just went with it.

We chilled by the pool before coming in for a nap. Actually Gia and I both fell asleep by the pool, but she started to snore, so I thought it was best we come in. A snoring teen in the middle of the day at the pool. It's kinda nice seeing her take naps again! We played for hours in the water, just throwing a ball to one another.

We are going to head out to Walmart (they can be found everywhere) and get some beach towels and diving sticks. The laundry mat is around the corner and the staff at our Air BNB take it there. The cost this week for our laundry was $72 pasos (USD about 3.5). Our sushi cost however... out of this world! Ps- it came with a maple syrup like sauce... no soy sauce.

We can't wait to see what the rest of today brings, but for now- here are some pictures!
