Day Thirteen... already?

Today we went for a road trip to some Mayan ruins. What a beautiful view and so much history. The trip was amazing, the food JoséRa García and his family made was amazing and our time together was great. He took some amazing photos for us to really remember our first week here in Mérida.

After that we headed to a local village with hundreds of cenotes. We made it through 4. We stopped along the way to enjoy pieces of this bright and vibrant place.

Through my journey and experience I have learned something significant. We all live differently, and when we can break down those walls of what we expect of others, at the core of everything is just a human being. A human life, living differently, caring for their land and their possessions differently, and living life differently then you or I or someone else. Respect one another, care for one another, love one another. We are all connected through the breathes we take and the lives we live. Do good, good will come back to you! Be kind, kindness will find you, love hard... it will eventually find you (even if it takes you forever and a day)!

I wanted to come to Mexico to learn a language, get a glimpse into someone else's way of living... but what I am learning while here is this: as long as you have a kind heart, a peaceful place to sleep and good company, you are set in this world!
